Make A Difference

At Kearney First United Methodist Church, tithing is an act of worship.  To "tithe" means to give a tenth of whatever God has blessed you with back to Him.  You can tithe time, money, gifts, and talents.  It is an offering to God so the church can keep operating and blessing others. Your gifts pay the staff and bills as well as support our missions and ministries. You can easily give and sign up to volunteer online or in person during each of our services. 

 

One of God’s many wonderful attributes is generosity and it blesses Him when His children are generous. 2 Corinthians 9:6–7 (NIV), “6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
