Serve in the Church
Feel called to volunteer but not sure where to start or who to contact? No problem! We have a general volunteer form for you to fill out to let us know your interests. We will help you get in contact with the best team for you!
During the Summer months, our bell and vocal choirs take a Summer break. If you have a musical talent you'd like to share with us, we would love to have you share during our Traditional Services offering and/or anthem spot! Please fill out this form to let us know what you'd like to share and which Sunday you'd like to share it!
From VBS to holiday meals, our Events Team help plan, produce, and run various events here at Kearney First! If you love creative thinking, decorating, and socializing, this is the team for you!
Our Welcome Teams help guests and members alike feel welcomed on Sunday Mornings! From cheerful smiles to answering questions and directing guests through the building, our Welcome Team Members are a key part of Sunday Mornings!
Love to work behind the scenes? Consider volunteering for the Production Team! This crew is responsible for making sure the congregation in person and online can see, hear, and follow along with the service. You are welcome to sit in the booth on a Sunday morning to see how the team runs and what the different positions do.
Here at Kearney First, we strive to care and pray for our congregation when they have physical, emotional, or spiritual needs. There are many groups within our Care Team. From joining the online prayer team to being a Sunday morning van driver, if you have a heart for caring for others, there's a place for you in our Care Team!
Have an ear and heart for music? Our Modern Service Praise Team would love to have you join the band! Scheduling is flexible and you are welcome to join our Thursday Night 7 PM practices to get a feel for the group before joining the team.
Student Ministries
Have a heart for working and walking with students from preschoolers to high school seniors? Join our Student Ministry Teams to help students develop a deeper understand of their faith and who God is to them.
Our Stewardship Team takes care of various tasks around the church grounds. From maintaining the prayer garden and mowing the lawns in the summer, to keeping the entryways clear in the winter, the Stewardship Team plays a key role in keeping our church easily accessible and looking beautiful!
Serve in the Community
The East Lawn Food Ministry serves the East Lawn Trailer Court on the East side of town. Food distribution occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, There are plenty of volunteer opportunities to pick up food donations and stock the pantry throughout the week. The Kearney Area Habitat for Humanity works to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. They rely on the help of volunteers to build homes for families in need. Check out their website for more information.
Crossroads is a place for men, women, and children to go to when they are in a crisis. Crossroads introduces them to the Lord and helps them stand on a firm foundation. They provide food, shelter, clothing, and a family of support for those in need. Check out their website for more information.

Kearney Jubilee Center is a non profit, ecumenical, community-based organization aimed at providing the most basic of human needs while advocating for social justice. They strive to maintain client dignity while offering supportive services in food, clothing, rent and utility assistance, and medication assistance.
